About The Girl

Not-so-silent observations that splinter my conversations. Harnessing the steady flow of random thoughts and musings that continuously interrupt my daily conversations. Paired here with my artwork and photographs from recent adventures. Non sequitur (pronounced \ˈnän-ˈse-kwə-tər\)- a response which, due to its apparent lack of meaning relative to its context, seems absurd to the point of being humorous or confusing.

COURAGE

I believe that it is true, what they say, that courage is a quality of the heart. Courage is knowing with my heart rather than my mind. An intimate sense that constructs my internal compass. Courage guides me even when fear feels like a familiar companion. My fears still exist within me. And yet courage fortifies me to persevere despite them.

This evening my hearts bounces between exhilaration and terror. Each of us fears their very own unique blend of circumstances, outcomes or events. Tomorrow I hang my artwork at a busy local venue. I am afraid. Afraid of criticism. Afraid that I might accidentally hang a piece crooked or off-center. Afraid that someone might say "I can do that" or "I can do better than that."

I accept the courage to follow-through and even enjoy this experience.

When was the last-time you had to exercise courage?
